BWOC is like a family. Although it may sound unlikely for a company of our size, it’s true. The company values of independence and quality of service were first established by Bob Wayne who founded the company in 1982, later passing the reins to his son Mark Wayne, before our current Managing Director Amy Jones took over in 2020. Amy joined the company over 16 years ago (you can read more about Amy’s career at BWOC here). In fact, more than 75% of our staff have been with us for over 5 years!
This however does not mean we are set in our ways. We like to stay at the forefront of the industry developments, utilising the latest technologies and practices. If you enjoy variety, you will fit in well. We aren’t just looking for someone with the right skillset, but also the right personality to fit into our close-knit team.
Here at BWOC we take great pride in our family values creating a happy and healthy work environment where every team member is valued. That’s why so many of our staff have been part of our journey for many years! You can read about just some of our team members and their BWOC experience here.
Supporting our local community is something we are passionate about. That’s why we are always looking for new ways to help and donate to charities and organisations that are prominent in the surrounding area.
We are proud to have partnered and worked with a range of charities throughout the years and you can find just some of the organisations below.
You can learn more about the charities we support here.

“There’s too much to list! But after almost 9 years’ service as a Business Development Manager, I still enjoy working for BWOC. It’s simply a brilliant company to work for with a very approachable management.”
...Not only do we care about about our customers, we care about our colleagues, our community and the environment too.
As a major fuel provider we are aware of the impact CO2 has on our environment and communities around the world.
That’s why we are fully committed to offsetting our Carbon Footprint and work with our clients to help them reduce their footprint.
To date, we are overjoyed to say that we have planted over 100,000 trees all around the UK!
Ensuring our employees are able expand their skills is important to us. Which is why we are always supportive of any extra opportunities that would better our team's experience and development.
One of our employees Elaine Quick said " BWOC gave me the opportunity to further my skills completing various courses... I have recently become a Mental Health First Aider as part of our UK group and am able to apply my writing skills on the many Mental Health issues that we face in our daily lives."
